Established on December 19, 1966, as the Oklahoma Beta Chapter, AED has a long history at OSU of preparing students for careers in healthcare.

Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD) is an International Sociology Honor Society. The purpose of this society is to “promote excellence in scholarship in the study of sociology, research of social problems, and such other social and intellectual activities as will lead to improvement in the human condition."

My reason for joining aKDPhi was originally rooted in a desire to learn more about mine and others’ cultures, as well as to surround my myself with women who are passionate about leadership, culture, and scholarship. Although I am still passionate about all of these things, over the years, aKDPhi has specifically shaped my teamwork and leadership skills. As a Music Industry student, I can thank aKDPhi for the experience and opportunities that have come my way within my career development, including an internship with The Recording Academy/GRAMMYs!

Being in aKDPhi has been such a blessing! I didn't know what I wanted to do or where I wanted to be and all these hardworking women have motivated me to be my best self. They have taught me and inspired me so much to be more than just a student, but to be a sister, a friend and a leader to others. I truly felt at home when I met these girls for the first time, I felt like I could be myself and express myself through my culture and differences without being judged. They really make me feel seen and I can't imagine my life if I chose a different path without them. I love all my sisters to the moon and back.

While rushing aKDPhi, the girls were all very welcoming towards me and I could potentially see myself joining. With that envisioned, I also was able to be my most authentic self and that was one of my key indicators for me. aKDPhi also provides me to continue strengthening my skills and connections that will last even after I graduate.

Interested in joining aKDPhi at Oklahoma State? We welcome women of all backgrounds to come out to our recruitment events. Rush events occur for two weeks within the first month of the semester. All events are free of charge with no obligation.

In order to be eligible for an interview, rushees must attend at least 2 rush events, 1 informational, and educational held by the Multicultural Greek Council. In accordance with the requirements set by MGC, members must also be enrolled in at least 12 hours and have a college GPA of at least 2.5

Alpha Omega Epsilon is a professional and social sorority that promotes friendship, leadership and professionalism to all members of the organization, the community and our professions. The sorority was founded on November 13, 1983, and four months later, on March 22, 1984, became a recognized organization on the Marquette University Campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This idea of uniting women of all curricula spread to other campuses. Our chapter, Beta Pi, was founded here at Oklahoma State University on April 11, 2015.

The sisters of Alpha Omega Epsilon promote ideals and objectives that hope to further the advancement of female professionals, while at the same time developing bonds of lifelong friendships. Alpha Omega Epsilon strives for scholarship and academic achievement. The sisters strive to create a friendly, warm atmosphere where integrity, character, and self-confidence can foster. The sorority hopes to enlighten female professionals to career opportunities. Alpha Omega Epsilon encourages ties with other Greek organizations, leads to the discovery of additional extracurricular activities, and aids in pursuing contacts within their professional network.
